The Health and Environmental Services Small Learning Community is a collection of students enrolled in Pre-Vet, Pre-Med, and Agriculture Science Classes. These career technical teachers (CTE) are supported by a group of core teachers (math, science, English, and social studies).  With collaboration among the core teachers and CTE teachers, students are able to receive an integrated curriculum that supports the development of their career goals.

The mission of Fort Pierce Westwood’s Human and Environmental Services Small Learning Community is collaborative curriculum development that emphasizes rigorous academic studies and relevant career training. We will experience improvement in student excellence and in the success of each individual by providing relevant, challenging, and engaging work in an environment that instills a sense of purpose and belonging for every student, every day.

The vision of Fort Pierce Westwood’s Human and Environmental Services Small Learning Community is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills, through education and career training, that will enable them to improve the quality of life for all persons and animals in an ever-growing humane-conscious society.
