News From Our Principal

Greetings Greyhound Nation,

With only one month left in the 2016-2017 school year, now is the time for us to reflect on the effort all of our students have put forth and celebrate their outstanding achievements in the areas of academics, sports, the arts and the many competitions and events they have participated in throughout the year. From achieving the highest graduation rate on the entire Treasure Coast, to participating in and winning district, regional and state competitions, our Greyhounds have led the way, proudly and with much pride.

Congratulations to the “Class of 2017!” The entire “Staffulty” is so proud of you for reaching this great milestone in your lives. Whether you are going off to college, entering the workforce or serving our country, all of us are very confident that you are better equipped to meet the challenges of the future. Good luck in all of your future endeavors!

Congratulations to Quentin Peters, who recently signed to attend and play baseball at Mount Union College in Ohio. We wish you all the best!

As a reminder, graduation will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 8:30 AM at the Fenn Center. We look forward to seeing all of our parents, families and friends as we honor and celebrate all of our graduates. Please be sure to pay close attention to this month’s calendar, as there are still many events taking place, such as the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 10th and our High School and Middle School Awards Ceremonies on May 18th. We are also continuing with testing, wrapping up with the Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, US History, Civics End-of-Course exams, Advanced Placement and IB exams.

May 1 through May 5 is “Teacher Appreciation Week.” On behalf of the administration and support staff, I want to say “Thank You” to all of our teachers for educating, encouraging, mentoring and supporting our students every day. The passion and dedication you have for our students does not go unnoticed. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!!!

Lastly, I want to thank all of our students, teachers, staff, parents and community partners for all of the hard work, dedication and support this year. Everyone should be proud of the work we have accomplished and the progress we have made. Together, we have been able to achieve great things and I am confident we will continue on our path of excellence and increased student achievement.

“One School; One Team; One Theme”

Sincerely,

HENRY SANABRIA
