Standard Day Early Dismissal Day
MORNING BELL-SCHEDULE
8:00 Doors are opened. Students may get breakfast. 8:00
8:15 First Bell – Students may go to class. 8:15
8:30 Second Bell (Tardy Bell). Any student arriving after 8:30 must be signed in with  an adult to receive a tardy slip that will admit them to class. 8:30

3:00 Parent pickup students are dismissed. 1:00
3:15 Walkers and bike riders are dismissed. 1:15
3:00 Bus riders are dismissed over the television when bus arrives. 1:00
3:15 After-care students are dismissed to the cafeteria. 1:15

Leaving School Early

If you know you will be picking your child up early, please send a note to the teacher that morning. Go to the office when you arrive at the school and sign the student out.

 

Office personnel will have your child sent to the office to be dismissed.

  • Children may not be released early from classes between 2:30 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
  • For the protection of the student, teachers will not release a child without office authorization.
  • In addition, children will not be released to any unauthorized person (i.e.) any person other than the custodial parents and other person(s) you have indicated in writing.

If your child is going home a different way other than usual, the school must be notified in writing.

Dress Code

Dress for success.  Dress for the occasion.

Unacceptable

  • Any SOLID collared shirt or blouse with sleeves (brand names on clothing only if it is discreet).
  • SOLID colored Jeans, shorts, or jumpers (must be past finger tip length). No athletic shorts, spandex, tight fitting apparel or sweatsuits.
  • Collared dresses must be no shorter that just above the knee and must have sleeves.
  • Shirts must be tucked in at the waist.
  • Belts must be worn, if there are belt loops. Please feel free to cut belt loops off pants.
  • No hooded sweatshirts, hats or bandanas. Sweatshirts and jackets (Graphics can be no larger than pocket- sized) in SOLID colors only.
  • Shoes must be closed toe with back straps and not have wheels.
  • *Parkway T-Shirts may be worn on Fridays only.
  • Culottes, and dress shorts that are not hemmed.
  • Oversized and baggy clothing.
  • Clothing or accessories that display writing, phrases, symbols, pictures, and/or insignias that are obscene, profane, inflammatory or derogatory toward racial or ethnic groups.
  • Excessively tight clothing.
  • Mesh clothing and or see-through fabrics.
  • Flip-flops, beach shoes, bedroom slippers, or backless shoes.
  • Sunglasses worn inside the school building.
  • Hats, caps, bandannas or other related hair grooming items such as picks, combs, curlers, sweat bands, etc.
  • Cosmetics, Hair styles and unnatural hair colors that create distractions. Jewelry such as dangling earrings, bracelets, or necklaces which cause safety hazards.

*All Students are encouraged to wear a Parkway Spirit Shirt Daily. Polos are $13.00 and T-Shirts are $10.00.
