Culinary Arts is the art of preparing and cooking foods.  The word “culinary” is defined as something related to, or connected with, cooking.   A culinarian is a person working in culinary arts with a knowledge of food science, diet and nutrition.  Becoming a culinarian here at Treasure Coast High School will open the doors to many professions in your future.
TCHS  Culinary Arts follow the ProStart curriculum through the National Restaurant Association.  Restaurant and food service operations make up one of the most dynamic industries in the United States today.  Upon successful completion of Culinary 3, students may obtain their ServeSafe certification making them very marketable in today’s restaurant industry.  Culinary 1 and 2 students may be eligible for SafeStaff, the food handler certification, through the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.
