Sweet Sounds<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades may participate in this performance group.\u00a0 The group meets each Tues. and 3:30-4:30 pm.\u00a0 Members perform a varied repertoire of instrumental and vocal pieces.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tutoring<\/strong>&#8211; Tutoring is provided based on funding. The school will announce when tutoring is available for students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GameDay<\/strong>&#8211; Students in 3rd-5th grade may participate in GameDay. Game Day occurs every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>In addition to the before and after school activities, the following is a list of special programs provided to FKS students:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Student of the Month Award<\/strong>:\u00a0 Each month a special Awards Ceremony is held honoring a good citizen from each class.\u00a0 The students receive certificates, pencils and ribbons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Safety Patrol<\/strong>:\u00a0 The\u00a0Safety Patrol at F.K. Sweet consists of a group of 4th and 5th grade students.\u00a0 This select group of students is responsible for keeping classmates from being injured.\u00a0 Each 4th and 5th grade teacher chooses 2 students from his\/her classroom to participate in this program.\u00a0 Criteria for selection include:\u00a0 good citizenship, C or better grades, good attendance, and proper dress code.\u00a0 Some responsibilities of the members are:\u00a0 act, look, and be alert, be at your post on time, and be a good leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Awards Day<\/strong>:\u00a0 Students who attain principal&#8217;s honor roll, A\/B honor roll, and perfect attendance are recognized each nine weeks.\u00a0 Parents are invited to join.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All extra curricular activities are held before or after the regularly scheduled instruction time in order to guard instruction time judiciously!\u00a0 Parents must be able to provide before or after school transportation for students to participate.
