The Guidance Department at Fort Pierce Central High School advocates for all students and develops relationships with them. Counselors help to guide and support students with their academic planning, personal/social development and with college and career readiness. At Central, our guidance counselors deliver a college and career readiness curriculum. By taking a holistic approach of collaboration with students, parents, and faculty members, counselors assist students with post-secondary goals while preparing them to become successful and active members of their community.
School Counselors meet and work with students and families for a variety of reasons, including academics, college and career planning or social/emotional concerns. Services are delivered in a variety of ways, including individual meetings, guidance seminars, evening presentations, parent/teacher meetings, conversation, phone, email, and the Guidance Department page of the FPC website.
