The Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education, is an internationally recognized program that emphasizes the value of broad and balanced study. It offers students the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of subjects that suit their specific passions and interests while developing the tools necessary to succeed in college-level classes. This program is recognized internationally and prepares students for college. Students can earn college credit and potentially earn the AICE Diploma.
AICE Diploma: Students must pass six credits worth of examinations as well as pass Global Perspectives. At least one examination must come from each of the three subject groups: Mathematics & Sciences, Languages, and Arts and Humanities. For AS examinations, candidates are graded on an alphabetical scale, A to E, with grade A indicating a top level of performance and grade E indicating a minimum passing grade.
Florida law recognizes Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) curriculum as a method of qualifying for a Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) or Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) award through the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. To qualify for a Bright Futures award utilizing the AICE curriculum option, students must satisfy the following requirements:
- Complete the AICE curriculum requirements as determined by the Florida Department of Education
- Meet the appropriate SAT or ACT test score
- Earn the community service hours: FAS – 100, FMS – 75
