About Legacy High School

Welcome to Legacy High School (LHS)—the newest addition to St. Lucie County’s family of schools, opening in the 2025–2026 school year! Serving over 1,500 students in grades 9–11 during our inaugural year, we are proud to introduce our first senior class in the 2026–2027 school year.

At Legacy, we are committed to providing students with a purposeful and personalized high school experience. Our journey begins with a solid foundation in core academics and a unique freshman course, Leadership Techniques, designed to help students smoothly transition from middle school while exploring future pathways and setting goals for high school and beyond.

We offer a wide variety of academic and career-prep opportunities, including:

  • The AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) Program, a rigorous, college-level curriculum that challenges students to think critically and globally.

  • Multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, such as Biomedical Sciences and Global Logistics, giving students hands-on experience and industry certifications.

  • Dual Enrollment partnerships that allow students to earn college credit while still in high school.

Beyond academics, Legacy High is a place where students find their voice, pursue their passions, and grow as leaders. Our spirited “Roaring Regiment” band, a growing selection of student clubs (including Sideline Cheer, National Honor Society, and Student Government), and 21 athletic programs—including Unified Sports—offer every student a way to get involved, build friendships, and show their school pride.

We also believe education is a community effort. Legacy welcomes families to participate through our School Advisory Council and volunteer opportunities, ensuring parents have a voice and a role in shaping our school’s future.
