We encourage and celebrate a strong partnership with parents. Family socials, curriculum nights, student performances, and joining children for lunch help you meet classmates and neighbors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Volunteer Program<\/strong>: Volunteers are an essential part of the MSE school program. Volunteers provide a variety of services from correcting papers, chaperoning field trips, assisting at School Day Events, and much, much more!\u00a0 We value our parents and consider them a true partner at Morningside!<\/p>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">To further enhance student safety,\u00a0<b>all school volunteers will now be required to complete a Level 2 background screening, which includes\u00a0<span class=\"mark9hvyoxiys\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">fingerprinting<\/span><\/b>.<\/div>\n<div><b>Key Updates:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><b><span class=\"mark9hvyoxiys\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Fingerprinting<\/span>\u00a0Requirement (Valid for 5 Years):<\/b><\/div>\n<ul data-editing-info=\"{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}\">\n<li>\n<div>All volunteers must complete a Level 2 background screening every five years. The cost is\u00a0<b>$75<\/b>, and\u00a0<span class=\"mark9hvyoxiys\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">fingerprinting<\/span>\u00a0can be completed at the District Office during onboarding hours (8:00 AM\u20132:00 PM, no appointment necessary).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Volunteers who continue beyond five years will be required to\u00a0<b>renew their\u00a0<span class=\"mark9hvyoxiys\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">fingerprinting<\/span>\u00a0and pay the associated fee<\/b>\u00a0at that time.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><b>Annual Volunteer Application:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul data-editing-info=\"{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}\">\n<li>\n<div>Volunteers must continue to submit a new application each school year to remain eligible.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><b>Volunteer Badge Fee:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul data-editing-info=\"{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}\">\n<li>\n<div>A\u00a0<b>$6 annual fee<\/b>\u00a0will be required for the issuance of a volunteer badge, which is mandatory for campus access.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Please note:\u00a0Volunteer badges\u00a0expire at the end of each school year\u00a0and must be\u00a0renewed annually. The renewal fee will be collected at the time of the application submission for the new school year.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>Compliance Reminders:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><b>No Badge, No Volunteering:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul data-editing-info=\"{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}\">\n<li>\n<div>Volunteers must have a current badge to be permitted on campus.
