          To help us dismiss students more quickly and efficiently, Oak Hammock K-8 is implementing a new two-lane car rider dismissal process this school year.<\/div>\n

          \"\u2705\"<\/span> Important: This change applies to afternoon dismissal only.  Morning arrival procedures remain the same.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

          Here’s what families need to know:<\/div>\n
          \u2022 Have your PikMyKid number ready at check-in.<\/div>\n
          \u2022 Pull into the next available lane and move all the way forward.<\/div>\n
          \u2022 Our new process allows staff to load up to 16 vehicles at one time, helping us reduce wait times.<\/div>\n
          \u2022 Follow all staff directions as we safely alternate vehicle movement.<\/div>\n
          \u2022 Please be patient during the first week as everyone learns the new routine.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

          • Students remain inside until parents arrive on campus<\/li>\n
          • The system notifies staff to dismiss your child (Pikmykid system)<\/li>\n
          • Students are escorted and placed safely into vehicles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              All student walkers will be escorted to the crossing guard at California Blvd. & Savona Blvd.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              \"\u23f1\ufe0f\"<\/span> Walker Dismissal Occurs in Waves<\/div>\n
              To support student safety and an orderly dismissal process, walkers are released in waves, beginning with our oldest Ospreys and ending with our youngest students.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
              \n
              Families and older siblings who are meeting student walkers should wait at the California & Savona intersection, as students will be released directly to the crossing guard location.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              Parents and siblings should not wait on campus for walker dismissal.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              For student safety, families should not park, wait, or arrange student pick-up in nearby private parking lots.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              As members of the Oak Hammock community, we can be good neighbors by keeping business parking lots available for customers and ensuring students remain on designated pedestrian routes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              Please review these walker safety expectations with your child:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

              \u2022 Use sidewalks and designated crosswalks.<\/div>\n
              \u2022Follow all directions from crossing guards.<\/div>\n
              \u2022 Do not walk through parking lots or between parked vehicles.<\/div>\n
              \u2022 Avoid areas that are not designated for pedestrian travel.<\/div>\n
              \u2022 Stay alert to traffic and surroundings.<\/div>\n
              \u2022 Walk directly home or to your family’s designated meeting location.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
