As a team member, Cadets can expect to run as much as 5 miles in competition. Team competition events may vary by school, but most events consist of the following: Physical Fitness Test consisting of push-ups, sit-ups and a 3-mile run; Litter Carry with 4 rucksacks (rucksacks range from 20lbs to 45lbs and the litter weighs up to 145 pounds) while traversing over one mile of rugged terrain; Obstacle Course; One Rope Bridge; 3-5-mile team run. All team members must finish together for an overall team time. This is considered a JROTC organization.
