The last quarter of the 2018 – 2019 school year was jam-packed from family engagement nights to 8th grade graduation! Here is a brief overview of events from April and May 2019.

More than 90 fourth and fifth grade students competed in a cooking challenge over two days, showing off their skills. To participate, students had to read the book Lights, Camera, Cook! It was a Sunshine State Reader book for 2018-19.

Palm Pointe celebrated our 8th graders at our annual graduation ceremony.

Our first grade students had a blast at Family Math Night! They practiced how to tell time, count coins, made fraction pizzas to order, and created geometric shapes with marshmallows.

Second grade students participated in engaging math activities! They had the opportunity to practice real life skills by purchasing items at different “stores,” learning the concept of money. What a fun way to review!

During the months of April and May, PPE held its Vocal Vision and the Rocket Chorus Concert, along with the Spring Band Concert.

Our young authors were recognized at our VIP Young Author Event! K-2 students worked so hard, creating an original piece of writing. From fiction to non-fiction, the sky was truly the limit. Parents came to support their young scholars and we are so proud of each one of them. Keep up the outstanding work.

Our Palm Pointe Rockets competed in the St. Lucie County Middle School Track Meet. These Rockets worked hard all season and did a wonderful job!

Congratulations to all of PPE’s State History Day competitors. They represented SLPS in Tallahassee and were recognized for their commitment to excellence in critical thinking, problem-solving, and research and analysis at the school board meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Congratulations to our newest NJHS members for the 2019-2020 school year!

Our Class of 2019 enjoyed their time together at the 8th grade dance!

Fourth graders had fun exploring the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine.

Today several fifth grade classes had the opportunity to learn from Meteorologist Britley Ritz from WPBF, while she taught a Weather Alert class here at PPE! The students learned and performed a Water Cycle Rap for her!

More pictures from the carnival for students who completed the summer reading challenge! Reading is fun!
