Santa joined us for Breakfast with Santa at Palm Pointe! Over 400 people enjoyed the morning…pictures with Santa, crafts, face painting, fabulous entertainment and a delicious breakfast! Great way to kick off the holiday season!<\/p>\n

Mrs. Kuba, our middle school counselor and a group of National Junior Honor Society students spent the morning at the Brennity playing games and eating Christmas cookies with the residents in the memory care unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our 8th grade Jazz Band performed on Saturday, December 16th at the Gardens Mall!<\/span><\/p>\n

Palm Pointe students and staff graced the cover of Luminaries this week to celebrate their “working Together for Success” campaign. St. Lucie Education Foundation will be hosting their 18th annual gala \u201cAn Evening for Education\u201d on Saturday November 4, 2017 at the Pelican Yacht Club starting at 6:00 P.M.<\/span><\/p>\n

Palm Pointe Educational Research School Named National Beta School of Distinction November 21, 2017<\/h4>\n

Port Saint Lucie, FL \u2013 National Beta is proud to announce Palm Pointe as a 2017-2018 National School of Distinction. This award is an honor for Beta Chapters striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to award those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year.<\/span>
\u201cAs the Palm Pointe Beta sponsors, we are so happy to feel that we are enhancing and enriching students\u2019 lives in the areas of commitment to achievement and service!\u201d<\/span>
Award recipients received a National Beta School of Distinction banner to proudly display as a symbol of their accomplishment. In addition, National Beta School of Distinction recipients will be publicized at the 2018 National Beta Convention in Savannah, GA this June.<\/span>
\u201cThis prestigious honor is a true indication of Palm Pointe’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership development and commitment to celebrating their student\u2019s achievements.\u201d said National Beta\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Bob Bright.<\/span>
About National Beta: National Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. Since its beginnings in 1934, National Beta has been committed to providing students with a positive experience in a supportive manner in grades 4-12. The organization recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, and fosters leadership skills.<\/span>

Three Area Schools Distinguished October 23, 2017<\/h4>\n

Lincoln Park Academy, Palm Pointe Research School at Tradition, and West Gate K-8, have been distinguished by Florida\u2019s State Board of Education as Schools of Excellence. To be eligible, schools must have an A or a B for each of the last three years and rank in the 80th percentile in their school type or grade grouping for at least two of the most recent three years.<\/span>
\u201cAll three schools boast rigorous academic programs and cater to multi-age groups,\u201d explained Chief Academic Officer Dr. Helen Wild. \u201cLincoln Park serves grades 6 \u2013 12 and both Palm Point and West Gate serve grades K \u2013 8.\u201d<\/span>
As a school principal, Henry Sanabria indicated that he is proud to include this as one of the Greyhound\u2019s points of pride. Palm Point\u2019s Kathy Perez and Melissa Hutchings of West Gate agree that the distinction is a mark of excellence for their respective schools. All three school leaders attribute the positive qualities of each staff\u2019s professional culture to on-going talent development and to the focus on student achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Palm Pointe Educational Research School At Tradition October 11, 2017<\/h4>\n

Two of our Palm Pointe students were recognized at the school board meeting last night for placing 1st and 2nd in the Art in the Capitol contest. Brooklyn Warens (not pictured) placed 2nd and Kiera Natta placed first for the district. Kiera’s art work will be on display at the state capitol building in Tallahassee. Both students are in 7th grade and are enrolled in Mrs. Turner’s art elective class. We are so proud!<\/span><\/p>\n

Principal Baruti Kafele Engages Palm Pointe Middle School Students with a Message of Being Mission-Minded<\/h4>\n

\u201cPrincipal Baruti Kafele, my name is Tyler, and it\u2019s important that you know my name.\u201d These were the words of a Palm Pointe middle school student who echoed the heart of the guest speaker\u2019s message to students while shaking hands with the larger-than-life Kafele. According to on-looker Principal Kathy Perez, the 12-year-old heeded the powerful message of being mission-minded and developing the necessary passion, purpose, and drive to persevere through challenges for success in school and in life.<\/span>
Perez stated that Palm Pointe Research School at Tradition maintains and on-going schedule of talent development for staff throughout the year. Kafele authored Closing the Attitude Gap, is an award-winning former educator and principal, and speaks to the importance of being mission minded. \u201cHe inspired our professional staff and captivated our students as an added bonus.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Parade of Dads at Palm Pointe- October 1, 2017<\/h4>\n

Palm Pointe honors male role models in Dads Take Your Child to School Day! What a great event to honor our fathers and ask for their commitment to stay involved. Over 300 male role models brought their child to school on Wednesday, September 27th. After a brief ceremony with a guest speaker, the reading of the proclamation from all PPE male role models, and the choral reading with all involved to pledge to stay involved, the event ended with a parade where all faculty and staff and moms cheered as our fathers walked in the parade around the school before bringing their child to class. We look forward to seeing all male role models at future events.<\/span><\/p>\n
