Samuel S. Gaines Academy of Emerging Technologies will be among the region\u2019s most innovative K-8 public schools,
\ntransforming the lives of our students and shaping the future of our community through exceptional teaching, creative
\nactivity, service to our community, and STEM. We will amplify these efforts through our distinctive climate \u2013 one that
\nplaces a premium on interdisciplinary inquiry, personal leadership and determination, and draws from the rich diversity

Who is Samuel S. Gaines?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Samuel S. Gaines served on the St Lucie County School Board for more than 34 years. He strove to ensure the excellence of education for the communities in St. Lucie County. He targeted to improve scores on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test as well as busing issues within the school system. Having an Academy that bears his name is fitting for his long commitment and dedication to children and education.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1553118115138{padding-top: 20px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

What is Kids at Hope? It is a belief that all children are capable of success, no exceptions. It is a commitment to all children, at every age, stage, and grade level. It is a culture where adults believe in children, connect with them, discover their talents, and help students develop dreams and goals for the future. This is what hope is all about!<\/p>\n

Kids at Hope is based on three universal truths:<\/p>\n

  • We believe that all children are capable of success, no exceptions.<\/li>\n
  • We connect with all children in a meaningful, sustainable way through relationships called Aces.<\/li>\n
  • We time travel by teaching children to mentally time travel to their future in four destinations (areas) of life: Home & Family, Hobbies & Recreation, Community & Service, Education & Career.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Kids at Hope is a community-wide movement that includes local government, law enforcement agencies, daycare centers, recreational facilities, and countless other organizations in St. Lucie County. St. Lucie Public Schools proudly partners with the Roundtable of St. Lucie County to provide a strong school-community partnership that keeps Kids at Hope going.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
