PBIS is Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports is a collaborative (team-based), educative, proactive and functional process to developing effective interventions for problem behavior. The positive refers to a change of focus from reactive, constantly pointing out what students did wrong (negatives), to proactive teaching and recognizing what children are doing right (positives).<\/p>\n

PBIS acknowledges and rewards students for following school-wide expectations and rules. Appropriate behavior is acknowledged after the fact. The rewards are earned, not offered as payoff in exchange for good behavior.<\/p>\n

Students earn Star Bucks for modeling our school-wide STAR expectations. Students then use those Star Bucks to shop in our school store and participate in monthly events.

                  6. Walk to the end of the sidewalk and wait for an adult to bring you to your car<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    3. Go straight to your seat and wait to be called on to get lunch<\/li>\n
                    4. Walk with your tray in your hands, facing forward, go straight back to your assigned seat<\/li>\n
                    5. Get your condiments and utensils before sitting down, you will not be allowed to get back up<\/li>\n
                    6. Stay in your assigned seat<\/li>\n
                    7. Eat your lunch, facing forward, legs under the table, feet on the floor<\/li>\n
                    8. Cross your fingers and put your hand in the air to wait for permission to use the rest room<\/li>\n
                    9. Talking to your shoulder partner(s) only (Voice Level 2)<\/li>\n
