Cheryl and Ray Lalloo from the Jessica Clinton Foundation generously donated an AED unit to St. Lucie West K-8. A fundraising campaign with heart-shaped cookies from local Panera restaurants takes place each February, and students are encouraged to post pictures of themselves holding the heart-shaped cookies. Kindergarten and Second grade teamed up to have students kick-off Dr. Seuss Week. Each kindergarten student was paired with a second grader and the “Reading Buddies” were able to share in reading a few of Dr. Seuss’ children stories.
