PBIS is is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools that support everyone \u2013 especially students with disabilities \u2013 for success!<\/p>\n
At Weatherbee Elementary, Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) is an on going, collaborative, team-based, educative, proactive, and functional process to develop effective interventions for inappropriate behavior.<\/p>\n
Weatherbee Elementary\u2019s school-wide PBIS plan ensures that children have the opportunity to develop the skills and behaviors that will enable them to realize success as responsible adults. The plan focuses on four major expectations with specific behaviors for each as presented in the Mariner SAIL Expectations.<\/p>\n
On a daily basis, Weatherbee students are recognized for demonstrating the S.A.I.L<\/strong>\u00a0expectations with specific, verbal praise and rewarding of a Mariner Dollar. Mariner Money is used to purchase various incentives such as a pencil, small toy, or classroom incentives. Classes are also recognized when each student in a class demonstrates the S.A.I.L<\/strong> expectations by earning Class Conch Coins. Each quarter, classes are rewarded based on their Conch Coins and celebrations include popcorn, cookies, or popsicles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
