Exciting news! Sunshine State Readers are out! The literacy team joined teams with 4th-5th grade teachers to start a brand-new initiative to encourage students to read independently.
For every book read off the Sunshine State Readers list in addition to a completed summary, students will receive a brag tag. For every 3-5 books read in addition to a completed summary, students will receive a brag tag and treat. For every 6-10 books read in addition to a reading summary, students will receive a brag tag, treat, and a book of choice. For students who have read all 15 books in addition to a reading summary, they will receive a brag tag, treat, book of choice, and an end of the SSYRA celebration. If a 5th grade student has read all 15 books by the end of the school year, they will receive a special award, recognition, and a prize during their graduation ceremony. HAPPY READING!
