John Parker, famous BMX rider, visited White City Elementary. During his presentation he discussed the spokes of good character, motion, and speed. It was a fun, energizing, thrilling presentation.
The Dads of White City Elementary enjoyed spending time on campus. Our Dads ate breakfast, watched the morning show and learned about the grade level expectations. It was a magnificent morning well spent with the Dads of White City Elementary.
Grade 5 students of White City Elementary are learning about the states of matter. Mr. Lewis’s facilitated learning as the students determined if matter can be more than one state at a time. In order to answer this questions, they observed dry ice, made oobleck and created slime.
White City Elementary kicked off to a great year with help from some Community Partners. We created a Tunnel of Hope and every student walked through showing excitement and ready for a successful year!
April 3rd – April 7th
The students of White City Elementary have created a Black History Hall of Fame which celebrates the accomplishments of African Americans. Students are learning about the contributions of influential African Americans. Classes are conducting research and discovering the accomplishments of historical figures.
Guest Reader Day at White City Elementary was a great success. Community Members read Have You Filled a Bucket Today by Carol McCloud. Students enjoyed the heartwarming book which encourages positive behavior through kindness, appreciation, and friendship.
Faculty from White City Elementary had a blast representing our school in the Martin Luther King Jr. parade.
