April 3rd – April 7th
The students of White City Elementary have created a Black History Hall of Fame which celebrates the accomplishments of African Americans. Students are learning about the contributions of influential African Americans. Classes are conducting research and discovering the accomplishments of historical figures.
Guest Reader Day at White City Elementary was a great success. Community Members read Have You Filled a Bucket Today by Carol McCloud. Students enjoyed the heartwarming book which encourages positive behavior through kindness, appreciation, and friendship.
Faculty from White City Elementary had a blast representing our school in the Martin Luther King Jr. parade.
Jared Farias, from Safe Kids Worldwide, visited White City Elementary School for the week to teach students about bicycle and pedestrian safety.
A few teachers at our school took part and dressed up for Character Day.
At White City Elementary classes researched and created display boards highlighting key facts about their country of choice. They’re work was displayed for parents to see on our Parent Night. Students have also been able to make appearances on our morning show to broadcast their hard work!
Our Bookaneer Book Fair was a great success! Thank you to all the volunteers and to all the parents/students who supported our school with this event.
A few teachers wore blue on October 3rd to support “Stomp Out Bullying”.
White City Elementary celebrates, “Dads Take your Child to School Day” as we welcomed over 100 dads. Dads ate breakfast with their child, visited classrooms, and followed morning routines.
