Our theater department brought the magic of Disney to life in a special performance for 300 young students from Lakewood Park Elementary School. The event marked the culmination of a unique quarter-long partnership, where our theater students embodied beloved Disney characters through a heartwarming pen pal exchange with kindergarten through second-grade classes.
The Disney Cabaret showcased our students’ talents through an interactive performance featuring musical numbers, choreographed dances, and theatrical scenes. The young audience members were thrilled to meet their pen pals in person and participate in engaging theatrical activities and games alongside their favorite characters. The theater came alive with memorable moments, including a show-stopping rendition of “Let It Go,” an energetic dance lesson led by Uma, and a delightful potato sack race featuring Tinker Bell and her fairy friends. This immersive theatrical experience created lasting connections between our performers and their young pen pals, demonstrating the power of theater to inspire, educate, and bring joy to our community’s youngest members.
A special thank you to Mrs. Gardner for her outstanding leadership of both the performance and pen pal program. Her dedication and creativity made this magical collaboration possible. Congratulations on orchestrating such a meaningful partnership that brought Disney dreams to life for our young community members.
