As we begin another incredible school year, we proudly celebrate being recognized as a high-performing school for two consecutive years—a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of our students, staff, and families. This past year was an “A” duplicate of the previous year of Colt Achievement, reinforcing our commitment to academic excellence and student success.
We continue to thrive through powerful partnerships with Amazon Future Engineers, LEGO, and the TGR Foundation (Tiger Woods Foundation), while excelling as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School and a Microsoft Incubator Showcase School. These collaborations fuel our innovation and support our mission to transform lives through exceptional teaching, creative activity, and service to our community.
This year’s theme—Triple Crown Bound—reflects our deliberate and intentional focus on academic excellence, student voice, and community involvement. It represents our pursuit of greatness in achievement, growth, and culture. We’ve established a culture of learning by increasing academic rigor, decreasing discipline behaviors, and rebuilding collaboration across all levels.
As a Leader in Me school, we empower every student to discover their voice, lead with purpose, and take ownership of their learning. Our school culture is built on the principles of leadership, responsibility, and collaboration—skills that will serve our students well beyond the classroom.
We continue to build strong adult-to-student relationships through our Academic, Cultural, and Leadership Lighthouse Teams, ensuring every learner is supported and inspired. Last year, SGAET earned Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me Lighthouse School Recertification and was honored on the LIM Honor Roll for Academic Growth. We were also recognized by U.S. News & World Report for excellence in our middle school program.
As a STEM Magnet School of Excellence, we are proud to be honored by the Magnet Schools of America’s National Merit Awards Program, which celebrates the top magnet schools in the nation.
