We are proud of our Colts Music Program! The program is flourishing and grows annually in both numbers and levels of achievement. We proudly participate in the All-State Middle School Honor Band and have had numerous students selected for the IRSC Four-County Middle School Band. Notably, one of our students earned the principal chair in the inaugural IRSC Four-County Middle School Jazz Band.
Our symphonic band, with over forty talented students, performs at the District 13 Florida Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment. We are a constantly growing program and are always seeking new opportunities for music performance beyond our school walls.
We believe that music and the arts play a vital role in student academic success. Research consistently shows that participation in the arts enhances cognitive development, improves focus and discipline, and fosters creativity and collaboration—skills that translate into stronger performance across all academic areas. Our thriving music program not only nurtures artistic talent but also supports the whole child, helping students grow into confident, well-rounded learners.
