Harvest Dines is an education fundraiser that supports local students and future employees in the hospitality industry. This event brings culinary students from the Treasure Coast Region and local chefs to create a fabulous experience.
The Fort Pierce Central HS Culinary department’s advanced class contributed significantly to the fundraising event at Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa in Jensen Beach on October 19th, 2023. This event was an initiative sponsored by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Treasure Coast Chapter to raise money for high school scholarships across the Treasure Coast.
During this event, the students had the privilege of working alongside top local chefs from 15 of the Treasure Coast’s finest restaurants. The students’ commitment and diligence in preparing and serving meals to the 150 guests were evident, and their hard work paid off. The Fort Pierce Central HS Culinary department was the only school selected to assist out of Martin, Saint Lucie, and Indian River counties. Several students even received job offers on the spot, a testament to their skills and passion for the culinary industry.
Our Culinary Cobras, led by Chef Strell and Chef Swertfager, demonstrated high standards of professionalism, and we are proud to have been represented so well in this fundraising event. Congratulations to the Fort Pierce Central HS Culinary department for their remarkable achievement.
