First Grade Students of Lawnwood are learning how magnifiers make things appear bigger and help people see things they could not see without them. (SC1E5.3)Students were engaged as they explored different areas around the campus.
Lawnwood students enjoyed guest reader day. Local members of the Daughters of the American Revolution read If I Had Your Vote by Dr. Seuss to celebrate reading.
Students from Mrs. Hammett’s class and Ms. McGowan’s class are using an incubator to incubate avian embryos growing inside fertile eggs. Through this project students are learning biology and life science as they eagerly look forward to hatching chicks.
