The students from Mrs. Ooley’s class read the book My Mouth is a Volcano.
Mrs. Ooley used this book to help teach students how to respectfully wait their turn to talk. My Mouth Is A Volcano takes an empathetic approach to the habit of interrupting and teaches children a witty technique to help them manage their rambunctious thoughts and words. After reading and discussing the book, the students completed a writing/art task to culminate their learning. GO LAWNWOOD LEOPARDS!
