Ms. Mackenzie Buck’s 3rd grade class scientifically explored a sink or float experiment! The students were discovering how much mass their boat could hold! It was a great day to test their hypothesis and collect data.
Mariposa Elementary 4th and 5th Graders Explore the Fun in Writing
Mariposa Elementary 4th and 5th graders had their special Writing Days. 4th Grade had a Writing Carnival and 5th grade had a Surgery Day. Each station had students dissecting texts, writing elaborations, citing evidence, and much more! It was a great day for learning!

Mariposa Elementary Partners with Port Saint Lucie High School Drama Students
Mariposa 5th graders performed their show of Broadway musicals with the help of their drama coaches from Port St. Lucie High School. For more than 20 years, PSLHS drama students have partnered with Mariposa students to choreograph popular Broadway songs. The 5th graders shine as they perform the songs for other grade levels as well as their parents.

Dell Innovator program at Mariposa Elementary
Mariposa Elementary welcomed the Dell Innovators program led by media specialist, Wendy Munao. In this technology-infused enrichment course, students assembled presentations of various subjects utilizing tools such as email, OneNote, Padlet, Canvas, Sway, PowerPoint, Flipgrid, Forms, and Stream.
