Coach Hernandez

Volleyball

I am currently in my fifth year of teaching Civics and U.S. History at Northport. In addition to my teaching role, I am in my third year as the head coach of the girls’ volleyball team. My passion for the sport began in fifth grade and continued through high school, and I now enjoy passing on that knowledge and enthusiasm to my players. I take pride in helping them grow both on and off the court, and I especially enjoy scrimmaging with them to challenge and inspire their development. Kristina, Northport Volleyball Team’s “official” mascot, is always by my side at games and practices, bringing cheer and laughter.

Hello everyone!

My name is Coach Boston and I’m incredibly excited to be stepping into my first season as a flag football coach! While this is my first year coaching, I bring a deep passion for the game, a commitment to teamwork, and a strong belief in helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. My goal this season is to create a fun, supportive, and competitive environment where every player feels valued, learns the fundamentals of the game, and builds confidence through effort and sportsmanship. I’m here not just to teach football skills, but to encourage leadership, discipline, and a love for the game.

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing.”Pelé

Cheer

  • As I embark on my 7th season as Coach of the Lady Navigator Cheerleaders, I’m reminded of my WHY?  My goal is to cultivate confident and disciplined student athletes. My student athletes have grown to love my unique coaching style and commitment to excellence.
  • Most of my former students go to high school and make Varsity in their freshman year. This is only possible because our team maintains a culture of teamwork, resilience, and school spirit. “Together, We Are Northport”
  • Whether working with beginners or seasoned cheerleaders, my goal is to inspire student athletes to push past limits, support one another, and celebrate every victory—in and out of the stands. “Let’s Go Navigators”

Every athlete must have a current physical and submit a completed Athletics Packet before the season begins to be eligible to play or practice.
