One morning, I was in the library to help me focus more in Geometry and Ms. Butterworth agreed while she was having E2020 students therir doing work in the morning too. It was pretty quiet there so I accidentally faintly heard Ms. Butterworth talk to a student that seemed to need help with their work. Ms. Butterworth talked to the student like a good counselor or teacher would and I saw how she was trying to really help the student out by asking what they were struggling with and offered more advice on the student’s assignment. I thought that was a really meaningful thing for me to see and since you don’t see everyone doing that. It definitely kept on my mind throughout the day. I’m grateful there are still people like Ms. Butterworth genuinely trying to help students who help any student in need regardless of everything they probably go through in their day. I’m wishing that every staff member could have Ms. Butterworth’s characteristics.

Ms. Flores is simply a really consistent teacher and attentive to our understanding of our Spanish topics in class. Many more teachers, and students alike could benefit from that. Also, there were times when Ms. Flores and the class were talking about topics outside that regarded our mental and physical health. I can tell she really is open to all of our thoughts and try to empathize with us through her own experience and encourages us not to feel like it is the end of the world when we fail. Ms. Flores isn’t really a normal Spanish teacher. I would say she provides support for us emotionally too and many of us appreciate the kind of teacher she is. A teacher that makes a difference everyday for us.

To Mrs. Butterworth from Bonne Smith

Mrs Butterworth has gone out of her way to help my daughter who was struggling in math. She quickly was able to build a trusting and loving relationship with her. Mrs Butterworth bought my daughter a very cool math workbook, with her own money,  that my daughter enjoyed using. It was a very thoughtful gift and fit her perfectly. Recently my daughter had an issue at school and Mrs Butterworth again treated her with so much kindness. I am very thankful for the love and support she has shown my daughter. I am so touched by her actions that words cant even express. Working with children is truly her calling and my family and I are fortunate to have her in our lives. On that note, all of the staff at North Port have been amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mrs Butterworth for treating my child like your own.
