The School Advisory Council (SAC) assists in the evaluation and preparation of the results of the school improvement plan. Each school in the State of Florida must have a SAC.  By law, each SAC must be composed of the principal and an “appropriately balanced” number of “stakeholders.” These individuals must be representative of the ethnic, racial and economic makeup of the community served by the school. This team of people represents various segments of the community- parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, business people and other interested community members.  The membership must be at least 51% non-school board employees and a 49% school board employees.

Joining SAC is the best way to stay informed about your school.  Every Oak Hammock K-8 School parent, guardian, and grandparent are invited to attend SAC and become a member of SAC at Oak Hammock K-8 School.

Meetings are held monthly throughout the school year. Typically, meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 3:45 P.M.
