Cooperative Culture, also known as Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) is off to a great start this year! Individual students can be awarded Otter Bucks for being responsible and respectful and for being role models.
- Students work hard to earn Otter Bucks
- Students of all ages enjoy earning Otter Bucks
- Students learn character traits to help them make responsible, respectful choices
And what to do with all those Otter Bucks? Why spend them, of course! Each teacher has a wide variety of choices on ways to spend those hard earned Otter Bucks. There is a PBIS cart available school wide for students to shop for treats off of.
- Sitting in the teacher’s chair is a favorite reward
- “Stinky Feet” is a fun treat
- Shopping from the PBIS cart is a great way to practice math skills
Classes are given special $5 Otter Bucks when the class as a whole is exhibiting model behavior. Some favorite choices for this are extra recess time, cupcake party, and popcorn party.
