Principal’s Reading Challenge

There was an exciting announcement at the Gaines Academy Parent Night. If our students reach over a million reading steps this school year, our principal will be doing a cheer leading routine to the Whip/Nae Nae. Better start practicing, Ms. Wilke because I’m sure our SGA scholars will meet the challenge.

Donuts with Dad Update

Fathers and other male role models streamed into Gaines Academy on Wednesday morning. They were treated to donuts and an inspirational message followed by smiles & laughter as they created a vision board with their child. Before leaving, the men signed the pledge to support and encourage their child’s success in school.

Doughnuts with Dad Day is Wednesday September 30th at 8am in the SGA Auditeria. Have doughnuts with Dad (or any honorary dad or male role model). Then, create a special project with Dad for a school-wide display. Hope to see you there!
