Mark your calendar for National School Breakfast Week—March 4-8, 2019 and get ready to “Start Your Engines With School Breakfast.” This year’s theme was designed to show parents, students, and school officials the benefits of fueling up for the day with a healthy school breakfast.”
While breakfast is free to all of our students every day at Southport, the cafeteria staff have planned a special breakfast on Wednesday, March 6th for students with perfect attendance during the month of February. According to Mrs. Eileen Kielbasa, Southport Middle School cafeteria manager, their staff are turning in their CNS uniforms for the day and will be serving up Waffle Wheels and other tasty treats to those few lucky students aboard the Bright Bites Bus. The Bright Bites Bus, which was designed by a St Lucie County student, will be pulling into the parking lot for breakfast at around 9AM. Students in Mrs. Pecora’s art class designed cars that will also be on display during the National School Breakfast Week.
