Family Involvement
Family and Community involvement is essential to student success. We are honored to be part of your child’s education and want to be partners with you. There are many ways that we encourage you to be involved with Bayshore Elementary School. Listed below are just a few!
School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of individuals representing the community, parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business and community members. The purpose of the School Advisory Council is to work together to develop the school improvement plan in order to ensure student success. SAC meets once a month (usually the first Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.) in the media center. If you are interested in becoming part of this council please contact Mrs.Cottone.
Parent Teacher Organization
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a team of family and staff members who work together to support students’ academic success, as well as plan special events and fundraisers that finance important projects and activities that support our students. PTO meets once a month and also provides support during school events. Please contact Mrs.Cottone if you are interested in being part of PTO.
Volunteer
Bayshore Elementary loves volunteers and encourages you to become one today. There are so many ways for you to help. Volunteers are needed to provide reading support to students, help in the media center or even provide teachers with assistance in the classroom. Did you know that you can even volunteer from home! Just start by filling out a St. Lucie Public School Volunteer Application. All applications are now completed online through FastTrack. This can be accessed through the Jobs page on the St. Lucie Public School site. Business Partners
Business Partners are an important part of Bayshore Elementary School. Business partners often serve on Bayshore’s School Advisory Council (SAC), provide incentives for Honor Roll and Kids at Hope Ceremony, and also participate in special events. If your business is interested in becoming a business partner, contact Mrs.Harper.
