Friday, September 14—Representatives from Talent Search and Upward Bound Math & Science, invested time visiting each of our freshman class seminars to encourage students to begin planning for college!
“We are here to make your dreams come true,” said Masac Dorlouis, coordinator for Talent Search and a 2007 alumni of Westwood High School. Talent Search and Upward Bound Math and Science are federally funded programs under the name TRIO.
This is only the first step in an effort led by our freshmen seminar teachers building relationships with community partners that connect students to future opportunities.
Talent Search and Upward Bound Math & Science offer a wide range of academic support services and coordinate college tours that are free of charge. These programs are located on Indian River State College’s main campus.
