We focus on developing the whole child by:
-
teaching LEADERSHIP to every student,
-
creating a CULTURE of student empowerment,
-
and aligning systems to drive results in ACADEMICS.
Our Student Leaders believe…
-
Everyone can be a leader.
-
Everyone has genius in them.
-
Change starts with me!
Educators empower students to discover and own their learning and that the whole person is to be developed.
7 Habits of Highly Effective People
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is one of the critical frameworks of the Leader in Me process. In addition to helping students learn and apply leadership skills, the 7 Habits give us a common language in building a supportive emotional environment.
Using the 7 Habits as a toolbox, we strive to empower all students to identify and utilize their gifts and talents.
We build trust through engaging, honest conversations, respectful disagreement, and creative problem-solving.
Contributing to the community through service, we value others and their skills and talents.
As global game changers, we strengthen our own belief systems and pay it forward.
4 Disciplines of Execution
The 4 Disciplines of Execution is another critical framework of the Leader in Me that helps us identify, track, and achieve academic and personal Wildly Important Goals (WIGs).
We invite families and community partners to join us in our mission to utilize a holistic approach to meeting the individual needs of our students. This concept focuses on a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
We are rooted in standards-based instruction to promote a conducive environment that uses informed, decision-making processes coupled with student evidence to drive instructional planning to increase student learning.
We strive on equipping our students with the skills and knowledge in becoming future contributing members of the community by:
- Attending an upcoming leadership event
- Joining our Parent and Community Lighthouse Team
- Sponsoring a schoolwide leadership role or club
- Supporting one of our service-learning projects
