Yesterday, 30 Westwood JROTC Cadets mostly seniors and juniors, joined by 4 other stellar Westwood students attended a tour at Florida Institute of Technology. They received a briefing from the College ROTC coordinator at FIT, they were educated on the requirements to be accepted into the college by Director of Admissions at FIT, took a tour of the campus, and had lunch at the Panther Dining Inn. It was educational for them to hear what it takes to get into an engineering program. We have several students who are excited for an opportunity to be able to enter a STEM program as reputable at FIT. There are programs that with the right ACT/SAT, and GPA scores, our students can receive 100% tuition with room, board, and over $400 a month monetary assistance additional.
