During the month of October, Lincoln Park Academy Middle School proudly hosted its annual Student Council elections, celebrating student voice and civic engagement. A remarkable amount of students participated, demonstrating the enthusiasm and commitment of our middle schoolers as they cast their votes in their Social Studies and Science classrooms, fully engaging in the democratic process.
This successful event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Social Studies and Science departments, including Mrs. Nuccio, Mr. Owens, Mr. Perry, Mrs. Cooper, Ms. Bobo, Ms. Logue, Ms. Maldonado (LPA MS Student Council Sponsor), Mrs. Labbe (School Clerk), and Dr. Sparacio. Their guidance and support were instrumental in empowering our students.
The candidates campaigned passionately, creating posters, distributing flyers, and sharing voice and video messages. They also secured teacher recommendations and obtained final approval. Their dedication ensured that every student’s voice was heard.
We are excited to announce the newly elected Student Council Officers:
- President: Kendal Ankiel-Cunningham (8th Grade) – Leading the student body.
- Vice President: Sophia Davis (8th Grade) – Supporting the president.
- Secretary: Thania Dawes (7th Grade) – Maintaining accurate records.
- Public Relations: Daniel Coleman Jr. (6th Grade) – Promoting Student Council events.
- Historian: Max Fuentes (8th Grade) – Collecting student feedback and preserving council history.
- Treasurer: David Kruse III (7th Grade) – Presenting the Student Council’s budget.
