The Lincoln Park Academy School Advisory Council (SAC) is a volunteer organization of parents, employees and community members that meet monthly. It functions to develop and oversee the implementation of LPAs School Improvement Plan which serves as the framework for enhancing the academics, performance and learning environment at LPA. The SAC is governed by Florida Statute 1001.452.

Lincoln Park Academy’s  School Advisory Council consists of an elected Board of Directors (the voting body) and a General Membership that is open to all interested parents, staff and community members.  Monthly meetings provide a forum  for updates on issues/activities at LPA, updates on District news, committee activities, as well as the opportunity to gather feedback from the membership.

There are 3 standing committees in LPA’s SAC:

Business Partner Committee – Focuses on bringing additional business partners into the LPA family. Partnerships can take many forms: financial support, donations, teaching/sharing opportunities, mentoring, student internships,  and volunteering are just a few. The goal is to grow the number of active participants, deepen relationships, and have the partnerships be mutually beneficial.

Gifted Education Enhancement Committee – Focuses on activities and/or programs that will enhance the gifted curriculum and to provide teachers with the necessary resources and support. Special attention is given to identify opportunities that students can participate and actively engage in.

School Spirit Committee – Strives to promote positive school spirit among the student body and staff through various events, activities, fundraising and programs. The committee also stands ready to support academic initiatives that need volunteer support.
