At Lincoln Park Academy, we believe that character counts just as much as academics. That’s why we take time to recognize students who consistently demonstrate what we call #TheLPAStandard a commitment to being Prompt, Prepared, Productive, Practicing Respect, and Practicing Safety. This past week, our middle school students who met these expectations were rewarded with a special event: PBIS Game Day.
Game Day was a vibrant celebration of community and collaboration. Students played a variety of games card games like Uno, Go Fish, Apples to Apples, and Spades were popular choices. Others gathered around classic board games like Monopoly, Battleship, and Scrabble, while some chose to work on puzzles together, showing off their problem-solving skills.
Technology also had its place in the fun. Students logged into their laptops to play educational games from platforms like iCivics along with other school-approved sites. These games not only entertained but also reinforced critical thinking and civic knowledge in a way that felt fresh and engaging.
More than just a reward, PBIS Game Day was a chance for students to socialize, collaborate, and build stronger relationships with their peers. It was a reminder that positive behavior leads to positive experiences and that Lincoln Park Academy is a place where doing the right thing is always worth it. “We do right because, it’s right to do right”
This is what #TheLPAStandard is all about. Go Greyhounds!
