The IB Biology Group IV Project provides Lincoln Park Academy students with a rare opportunity to move beyond traditional classroom learning and engage in authentic scientific research that directly impacts their community. Through our partnership with FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, professional scientists and educators bring cutting-edge marine science directly to our campus, transforming curiosity into discovery.
Most importantly, students gain experience conducting authentic investigations. They collect and analyze real data, examine environmental issues affecting the Indian River Lagoon, and work together to develop solutions to challenges facing one of the most diverse estuaries in North America. Rather than memorizing facts, students become active participants in the scientific process.
