Lincoln Park Academy Retires the Jerseys of Some of their Greatest Girls’ Basketball Stars
On November 29th Lincoln Park Academy retired the jersey of 3 of the school’s top girls’ basketball stars in the history of their school. This celebration comes in conjunction with the 100th year celebration of the school. Melanie Densen-Rosier (22), a 2002 graduate, and LaQuita Ball (23), a 2003 graduate, had a career high of over 2,000 points scored within their basketball career at LPA. Brandy Montgomery (11), a 2013 graduate, has the highest total career points for the school at more than 3,000 points. Brandy, who is currently in her 3rd year teaching English at Lincoln Park Academy, is also an assistant basketball coach with head coach Wendell Adams who is in his 25th year and on the road to 500 wins. Lincoln Park looks forward to celebrating more of Lincoln Park’s history throughout the school year.
