What is the Robotics Team?

  • The team is made up students dedicated to STEM and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) fields.
  • The group meets every week to learn programming, coding, and designing a robot to prepare for a First Competition. During build season from January to March, the team meets at least two times a week to build the robot.
  • The team competes in one to two competitions per year, the first one being in West Palm Beach over a 3 day period in March.
  • Students learn to code using Java and design a robot using AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Students also connect with other students, mentors, and engineers currently in the field.
