Student Identification Cards
All students receive their first student ID card when they take their school photo each year. If a student does not take their school photo they can take receive one FREE school ID each year. After that the cost is $2.00.
Library Media Program
The Media Center is established to be an integral part of the school’s overall educational program. It supports the school’s curriculum by working cooperatively with teachers to provide a variety of print and audio/visual materials and equipment for use by teachers and students. The Media Center Staff not only provides materials and service, but also assistance in their effective use.
Checking Out Books
Most books can be checked out for two weeks with renewal privileges if the books have not been requested by another person. Periodicals may be checked out for two nights. Four items at a time may be checked out.
Fines are not charged for overdue materials, but items are expected to be returned on time to check out additional materials. If a book is lost or damaged while it is checked out, the person the book is checked out to must pay for the book or the amount of damage occurred. A dollar fine is charged for lost date-due cards. Books and materials should be returned in the book drop at the circulation desk.
During school hours students will not be admitted to the Media Center without presenting a legal pass. Four (4) students at a time from each class can visit the Media Center, space permitting. A student may be admitted to the Media Center during his/her lunch period with a pass.
Printing – Available for students at 10 cents per page for black/white or 25 cents per page for color. Please email any file you want copied to Kelly.Brown@stlucieschools.org
Group Meetings – Groups are welcome to utilize the Media Center for meetings and special school events. You are asked to:
