MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide a personalized, rigorous, and relevant education through interdisciplinary practices and in preparing our students for the challenges of employment and continuing education in the healthcare professions.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The TCHS Academy of Health Sciences (Medical Academy) is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in the medical field. In order to be accepted in the TCHS Medical Academy, students must have a 2.5 GPA, and complete an interview/essay towards the end of their Freshman Seminar course. The program is divided into two portions. The first portion is the Health Science Core. These are the prerequisite courses generally taken in the Sophomore (Health Science Anatomy and Physiology) and Junior (Health Science Foundations) years in order to help the student to choose a relevant career track, based on individual strengths and interests. Students will choose a Career track towards the end of their Health Science Foundations class.
