Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a personalized, rigorous, and relevant education through interdisciplinary practices and in preparing ours students for the challenges of employment and continuing education in the healthcare professions.

Program Classes

Health Science I 1 full year (1 credit)

The students learn about the anatomy and physiology of the body with an emphasis on disease and medical terminology.

Health Science II– 2nd year / semester 1 (1 credit)

Students will be exposed to the health care delivery system, code of ethics, legal and ethical responsibilities, CPR, first aid, taking vital signs, infection control, and communication.

In the 2nd semester, students may choose from the following three classes in order to expand on their prior knowledge from the first half of the program.

Allied Health Assisting 3/ Electrocardiograph Assisting

In this course students will perform skills representative of one to three areas of allied health care in the classroom and clinical settings. This class will also prepare students for employment as an EKG aide upon completion of the certification exam.

Emergency Medical Responder

This course will give students a first hand look at the role of an Emergency Medical Responder through the partnership with the St. Lucie County Fire District.

Nursing Assistant 3

This is a course designed to prepare the student to provide/assist with all aspects of activities of daily living for the adult patient in both hospital and nursing home settings. The course includes classroom instruction, skills practice in the classroom and clinical experience. Upon successful completion, the student is eligible to apply to sit for the Florida State Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
