PSL’s Mayor Faiella presented Principal Bridgette Hargadine with a trophy representing the school improvement grade for Port St. Lucie High School from a D to a C based on 2011-2012 scores. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Academic Pep Rally which recognized numerous Class of 2013 Jaguars for their extraordinary efforts in academia including: the Top Ten, the IB Diploma students, Odyssey of the Mind contestants, the Young Floridians, and history fair winners just to name a few.
Principal Hargadine also acknowledged that the SAT scores from PSLHS trumped most of the other St. Lucie District High Schools and that the students are ready to continue to improve the school’s grade.
Assistant Principal, Michael Arnett, was slammed with slime at the recent Academic Pep Rally. Fellow assistant principals, April Rogers, Alex Oge, and Brooke Wigginton were in on the fun too, as the Jaguar student body cheered!
