New Head Football Coach- Ryan Solesky

Posted on Feb 28, 2014

For immediate release to the media:

After a long and thorough search, Port St Lucie High School Athletic Director, Brandon North, has chosen Ryan Solesky to become their next Head Football Coach. Solesky brings to Port St Lucie a wealth of collegiate football coaching experience and knowledge. Solesky began his coaching career as a strength and conditioning assistant at UCLA in 2005. At UCLA Solesky worked with current NFL all pro running back, Maurice Jones Drew, and Patriots pro bowler, Matthew Slater. In 2006, Solesky moved to Gainesville to become a defensive assistant at The University of Florida, working under current Michigan Defensive Coordinator, Greg Mattison, and Texas Head Coach, Charlie Strong. In 2008-2009, Solesky moved to the position of Special Teams assistant, assisting current Ohio State Head Coach, Urban Meyer, with all phases of the Gators’ kicking game. Consequently, Solesky was a part of two National Championship teams at The University of Florida. Solesky then followed Gators’ Defensive Coordinator, Charlie Strong, to the University of Louisville, where he became Strong’s Director of Football Operations. Solesky followed with a stint on Will Muschamp’s Staff at the University of Florida in 2012. In 2013, Solesky served as Port St Lucie’s Defensive Coordinator. Port St Lucie’s defense only followed Ft Pierce Central and Vero Beach in points allowed per game (18.8) and yards allowed per game 218. Port St Lucie’s defense also pitched two shutouts.
