“Once A Jaguar, Always a Jaguar.” We are proud to celebrate the PSLHS staff members who first walked these halls as students and now return each day to inspire, lead, and give back to the next generation of Jaguar Nation.
Cory Allen – Class of 2008

- Favorite memory as a student at PSLHS: Dress Code “Revolt” of 2005 (Changed to uniforms for the first time, a lot of students talked about unifying against the dress code. 99% of students did not)
- Favorite Teacher(s): Mr. Atwood, Mr. Lecher, Mrs. Malizia
- The reason you returned to PSLHS: I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Mr. Atwood by teaching advanced History classes. By far my favorite class at PSLHS was AP American History. It informed my future major in college and ultimately my career path.
- The biggest change you have seen between your time as a student and your time as a staff member: School is much more structured today. In those days, we did not have block scheduling. We could eat lunch wherever we wanted around campus. There was less structure throughout the day. In terms of students, I would say there is a lot more camaraderie today generally. I remember there being distinct groups around campus and a lot less socialization outside of “your” group.
- Years of service to PSLHS: 6.5 years in total. 4.5 in English, 2 in social studies
- Years of service to education: This will be my 13thyear in education.

Brittney Wegner – Class of 2015

- Favorite memory as a student at PSLHS: My favorite memory was all of the spirit weeks. We took spirit week very seriously. Almost everyone in the student body participated and we all loved every chance we got to have a spirit dress up day.
- Favorite Teacher(s): Mr. Lecher
- The reason you returned to PSLHS: It was the beginning of covid, and I decided I needed a change and moved home from Orlando. I took a substitute job while I was looking for another job and ended up never leaving! I always wanted to be a teacher but never thought I would actually become one.
- The biggest change you have seen between your time as a student and your time as a staff member: The biggest change I have seen as a student and staff is dress code. When I went to school here we had to wear collared shirts, shirts had to be tucked in, we had to wear a belt, and shorts couldn’t be above the knee. We were allowed to wear school T-shirts only on Fridays.

- Favorite Teacher(s): Ms. Linda Bromley, Mr. Yoshi Negoro
- The reason you returned to PSLHS: My daughter enrolled here.
- The biggest change you have seen between your time as a student and your time as a staff member: The number of students here. We were relatively small and close knit once upon a time.
- Years of service to PSLHS: 4 years
- Years of service to education: 27 years
Sam Gabriel – Class of 1991
- Favorite memory as a student at PSLHS: Making a TV show with my friend, who was in TV Production class. I played a Karate hero called “Sammy Kwan”. It was completely ridiculous, but we made many episodes and even filmed a “season finale”.
- Favorite Teacher(s): Mrs. Reeder was my AP History teacher, who really instilled a love of history that I still have now. Another teacher that I didn’t have but would work out with students after school. John Pillsbury taught science but would work in Physics concepts while we all worked out. BTW, he was part of the “Pillsbury Dynasty” at PSLHS. His brother and sister also taught at PSLHS at the same time… 🙂
- The reason you returned to PSLHS: When I joined the District as a Social Worker 20 years ago, I was given the option to service PSLHS. I had such great memories there that I thought it would great to be able to give back to the school that was responsible for building the foundation on which I built my future education and career.
- The biggest change you have seen between your time as a student and your time as a staff member: When I attended, PSLHS was brand new and the flagship school of the county. Of course, it’s a lot older now and seems very “low tech” compared to the newer high schools in the district.
- Years of service to PSLHS: 20 years
- Years of service to education: 20 years

- The reason you returned to PSLHS: My mother’s suggested I return and get a job here.
- The biggest change you have seen between your time as a student and your time as a staff member: As a student, I was an outcast and had a very small group of friends. As a staff member, it’s quite a bit of change because all the staff here love me and make me feel so welcome to be here. PSLHS staff are my second family.
